Slack is Adventure Archivesnot feeling alright this morning.

The popular messaging app is exhibiting strange behavior; for some users, messages just keep repeating in an endless loop. In some channels, this is happening to multiple users, resulting in a cacophony of repeating messages that's, frankly, unsettling.

We use Slack at Mashable and this has happened to at least one person, but I've also seen other channels descend into complete chaos as no one knew what the hell was happening. It looked a little bit like this:

You get the idea.

Of course, people on Twitter are either freaking out or having a laugh.

On Twitter, Slack said it's investigating reports of connectivity issues; this was followed by a message that "everything should be up and running again." There's no detailed explanation for the odd repeating messages, though.

We've asked Slack what's up and will update this post when we hear from them.

UPDATE: Sept. 22, 2017, 10:11 a.m. CEST Slack has confirmed to Mashable, via Twitter, that the "connectivity issues" were the reason for the app's odd behavior. In a later tweet, the company said it's still investigating the cause of the issues.

Until then, if you see yourself repeating the same thing over and over on Slack, rest assured: You're not going insane.

Probably.
