After Matt Lauer was fired from NBC for alleged sexual misconduct,Ireland a video has surfaced of his longtime colleague Katie Couric saying in an interview that he "pinches me on the ass a lot."
Couric said this to Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, when asked what Lauer's most annoying habit is.
Yeah, that's pretty far past an "annoying habit."
Couric and Lauer co-hosted the Todayshow for almost 10 years before she left the show in 2006. She made a guest appearance in January 2017 to celebrate Lauer's 20 years hosting the program. The two have long publicly had a friendship, so it's possible that Couric's comment was intended as more of a gag. Regardless, it certainly reads differently today.
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.
Couric has been on Watch What Happens Liveseveral times, but TMZcites the clip as being from 2012 – which checks out based on Andy Cohen's hair at the time.
Also worth noting: Cohen's response to this revelation is gross! It's classic WWHL, but it's still gross.
Mashablehas reached out to Couric's representatives for comment.
