In the movie Blockers,free online erotice and sex movies in eroup John Cena plays an over-protective father whose daughter is heading off to prom with a boy who has a top bun -- so he does everything he can, including butt-chugging a 40, to stop her from making any potential "mistakes."

Ahead of the release of Blockerson April 6, Mashable spoke with Cena by phone to get his own thoughts on prom, nude scenes, and butt-chugging — yes, butt-chugging.

Cena plays Mitchell, the enthusiastic, competitive father of Kayla (Geraldine Viswanathan), who teams up with fellow parents Lisa (Leslie Mann) and Hunter (Ike Barinholtz) to stop their three high school senior daughters from going through with their pact to lose their virginities on prom night. But along the way, the parents (sort-of) learn to let go and trust their kids in a sex-positive way.

"It’s a hilarious movie, I think the timing for it is perfect. I think comedy is based around difficult subject matter. This is the time for this comedy," Cena said. "I really think [director Kay Cannon] and especially the young ladies — Geraldine, Gideon [Adlon] and Kathryn [Newton] — did an amazing job."

Back in high school, Cena didn't go to prom, partially because he went to a co-ed boarding school so it didn't feel too special and he needed to work.

"I was broke as a kid, I mean I had no money," Cena said. "So I had the opportunity to work on campus or go to the prom. Everyone left for prom and I was one of those saps that stayed on campus and tried to get some extra money."

Luckily, Cena had a chance to live through the prom experience on Ellen recently.

If Cena hadgone to prom in high school, the Doctor of Thuganomics would have chosen one of two Rob Base songs to bust a move on the dance floor: "Joy and Pain" or "It Takes Two." A little later in the evening, to get the mood going, Cena had a pretty interesting and intense choice of music.

"I would go 'House of the Rising Sun' by The Animals," he said. "If someone can try that and get it to work, my hat’s off."

In Blockers, Cena's character Mitchell doesn't exactly start as an understanding parent, but he does think that when the time comes and he has a kid that's going to come at it with a healthier attitude than Mitchell.

"I would do my damndest to try to be responsible and respectful and informative, and I think I would just let my child know all the mistakes that I’ve made in my life, hoping that they don’t make my mistakes," Cena said. "But at the same time I know that it’s because of those mistakes that I am the man I am today, so it’s a push/pull territory."

Of course, Cena knows that he may feel differently when he's a parent. If push comes to shove like it did with Kayla's date, he may not throw a kid through a table, but he may do something else to put a stop to some unsavory business.

"A good swift shot to the bits and pieces, that’ll stop a man dead in his tracks," he said. "Or as Jesse Ventura would say, a good thumb to the eye, no matter how big you are, would stop you dead in your tracks."

Despite Mitchell's reactionary aggression, he's also a bit of a softie, and starts crying more than once during the movie. Cena said he's not too different in real life and that being comfortable with emotions is an important part of being strong.

"I spent so much of my life trying to be a symbol of strength," he said. "Being more comfortable with who I am as a man I think is being more comfortable with my emotions. I think as a culture we are changing and realizing that that is absolutely OK."

He gave a recent example of a time the tears just wouldn't stop.

"I am an emotional guy, and certain things move me," Cena said. "I literally — it’s weird — I watched the movie The Darkest Houron a flight home from London and just couldn’t stop crying. It was amazing. I’m on a regular plane, hanging out with everybody and I’m crying like a newborn kid. It’s not a tear-jerker, but for some reason it got me. I couldn’t stop once it started."

At one point in Blockers, Mitchell gets rather emotional but in a different way. In order to get into a party that Kayla and the other girls are at, he's challenged to a butt-chugging contest.

"That was my first introduction to the fact that that is a real thing and, uh, I guess I would put that right up there with the [Tide Pod] challenge and just simply ask the question: Why?” he said.

All confusion aside, he had no problem with his ass taking center stage.

"As somebody who pretty much is on television half-naked almost all the time, I got what I got and that’s what I got," he said.
