The Women Who Have Tasted Swapping [Uncut]Terminator doesn't go down easily, and neither does his franchise.
Paramount Pictures announced this week that a sixth installment of the series is in the works, and will arrive July 26, 2019. And yes, Arnold Schwarzenegger will be back, along with Linda Hamilton.

Tim Miller (Deadpool) is helming the new movie. James Cameron, who directed the first two Terminators, will produce. Miller and Cameron teamed up on the story, and David Goyer and Josh Friedman are writing the script.
The plot is being kept under very tight wraps, because letting the internet run wild digging for clues and spinning conspiracy theories is part of the fun. But we do know it'll be a direct sequel to Terminator 2: Judgment Day.
Sorry, Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, Terminator Salvation, and Terminator Genisys– none of you guys really count anymore. And Cameron is happy to throw you all under the bus.
"We're pretending the other films were a bad dream," he told The Hollywood Reporterin a recent interview. "Or an alternate timeline, which is permissible in our multi-verse."
(Never mind that Cameron himself praised Genisysduring its press tour in 2015, gushing that it had "reinvigorated" the franchise. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)
True, Terminators three through five are no one's favorite movies. Still: ouch.
Anyway, here's hoping Terminator 6will be better, especially since it's intended to be the start of a trilogy.
And if it's not? Eh, they'll probably just wait a few years and reboot the timeline again anyway.
