Carrie Fisher984 Archives a.k.a. Princess Leia, has rarely been shy about discussing her tumultuous private life. That continues with the upcoming publication of The Princess Diarist, Fisher's own journal entries from the Star Wars years that made her famous.
In an extract to be published in the next Peoplemagazine, Fisher discusses the times she slept with co-star Harrison Ford, beginning a three-month affair on the set of the original Star Warsin 1976. Ford was 34 and married; Fisher was 19.
SEE ALSO: If the election happened in a galaxy far, far away"It was Han and Leia during the week and Carrie and Harrison during the weekend," Fisher told People. Her journal includes this nugget: "I looked over at Harrison. A hero's face -- a few strands of hair fell over his noble, slightly furrowed brow ... How could you ask such a shining specimen of a man to be satisfied with the likes of me?"
Cue breathless excitement from Star Wars fandom. Only one problem: Contrary to People's claim, Fisher is not reallyrevealing this information for the first time.
In the above video, for example, Fisher agrees to a surprise interview with British journalist and fan Justin Collins in 2008. She describes how she went on to the set "determined to have an affair."
Hesitantly, starting at 5:20, she describes an incident where Ford hid inside her closet, "naked but for a tie."
In other interviews, as I discovered for my book How Star Wars Conquered the Universe, Fisher has spoken about the fact that she and Ford would smoke pot during the filming of the movie -- but that Ford's weed was too strong for her tastes. That is responsible for her forgetting many of the details, she has said.
She has, however, repeatedly described the delights of kissing Ford with this line: "Special effects gave him a very good mouth."
Fisher appeared on Twitter Tuesday after a long post-election break, with a characteristically curious tweet:

She also posted this, which may be an attempt to refute the closet story she herself told:

Ford and Fisher appeared together as Han and Leia for the final time in 2015's The Force Awakens.
