While rifling through the booklet of a used version of Grand Theft Auto Vhe just purchased from GameStop, gay video chat sex an 11-year-old boy found a baggie containing six grams of meth.
Florida mother Kayla McAllister posted on Facebook Sunday saying her son found a bag of meth in the case of a used game bought at a GameStop in Tallahassee, Florida. She included the above photo with this message:
PARENTS BE AWARE:Today i took my son to gamestop in Tallahassee to trade in games and get some new ones. When he opened the booklet inside one of the pre owned games he ( MY ELEVEN YEAR OLD SON!!!!!!!) found this. A baggie of fucking meth! Clearly the game was not properly checked when it was traded in and because of the carelessness i could have lost a child. Thankfully He brought it right to us and said what is this? My fucking 3 year old daughter could have gotten a hold of this! Ive filed a police report an contacted corporate and waiting to hear back. PLEASE CHECK ALL THE PRE OWNED GAMES YOU BUY!!! Just the thought of something happening to any of my kids because of something as crazy as this kills me. SO PLEASE PLEASE CHECK EVERYTHING! I never in a million years thought my 11 year old son would encounter meth. This is crazy.
McAllister was worried that one of her kids could have ingested the drugs. In a comment she said she was relieved and thankful that nothing like that happened.
"My nerves are so bad right now," she wrote in a follow-up comment. "Thank god [my son] was smart enough to bring it to us. I cant fucking imagine what could have happened if he didnt."
McAllister called the police after her son brought the bag of drugs to her attention. A police report from the Gadsden County Sheriff's Department obtained by Kotakusaid officers were dispatched to McAllister's residence. The officers field-tested the white substance in the bag, finding it positive for methamphetamine.
McAllister also said she called GameStop customer service, who responded a day later.
"So they called and offered me a replacement video game," she said on her Facebook page. "I was like really?"
UPDATE: May 10, 2017, 9:21 a.m. EDT A GameStop spokesperson offered this statement:
We are disappointed to hear about the experience one of our customers recently had when purchasing a pre-owned video game from one of our local Tallahassee, Florida stores. We work diligently to ensure the quality of our pre-owned items are like new. Unfortunately, in this circumstance our thorough process fell short. We are extremely concerned that this incident occurred, and are working with the local police department to support them in their investigation.
The Gadsden County Sheriff's Department did not immediately respond to our request for the official police report of the incident.
