Porsche's Taycan lineup is With You Againgetting long.
On Tuesday, the company announced two new electric supercars, the Porsche Taycan GTS and the Porsche Taycan GTS Sport Turismo.
This brings the total number of cars in the range to ten. Here they all are: Taycan, Taycan 4 Cross Turismo, Taycan 4S, Taycan 4S Cross Turismo, Taycan Turbo, Taycan Turbo Cross Turismo, Taycan Turbo S, and the Taycan Turbo S Cross Turismo, alongside the two new models.
Needless to say, this will be confusing to prospective buyers, so here's where the two new models stand in the lineup. Basically, the Turbo models are still top of the range, and the new GTS models sit somewhere in the middle. They get the dual motors with 590 horsepower (in comparison, the Taycan 4S has 462 hp and the Taycan Turbo's got 670 hp), and the same 93.4kWh performance battery as the Turbo models.
But while they're a little less quick than the Turbo models (both new models go from 0-60mph in 3.5 seconds, while the Turbo S and Turbo S CT achieve that feat in 2.8 and 2.9 seconds, respectively), they do get more range. In fact, the Taycan GTS has the biggest range in the lineup, up to 504 km based on WLTP figures.
In terms of looks, the new models are similar to the Turbo and the Turbo Cross Turismo, but with their own distinctive styling, including a bunch of details in glossy black and GTS logos everywhere.
The new Porsche Taycan GTS starts at €131,834 ($149,209), and the GTS Sport Turismo starts at €132,786 ($150,287). They'll be available for purchase next spring, and Porsche says the Sport Turismo will get more engine options down the road.
