A Japanese parrot by the name of Karin isn't one to shy away from showing who's boss,Horror Archives in a series of videos uploaded by Twitter user @masaki_1133.

While playing around, Karin thought it'd be a wise idea to try and trap the kitten in the box, closing the lid on the feline.

Perhaps feeling bad, Karin pulls open the box lid to let the kitten out -- who returns the favour with a swipe on the parrot's head.

But Karin has the last say to the rude cat, much to the amusement of its owner.

The pair's owner keeps a blog of their happenings, and while it might be an unlikely friendship, they seem to get along just fine.

They're kinda cute, actually.
