After a dry cleaning business lost newlywed Tess Newall's 147-year-old wedding dress,Korean College Girl Room Salon she turned to the only place she knew she could get help: Facebook.
SEE ALSO: Bride perfectly trolls her groom in a ridiculous T-Rex costumeFor her June 2016 wedding, Newall wore a beautiful gown her great-grandmother made more than a century ago in 1870. The newlywed later dropped her dress off at Kleen Cleaners in Edinburg, UK for a dry clean.
The store, after falling into liquidation, left Newall absolutely devastated when they told her they had lost her dress.
"I have just found out that the dry cleaners have lost my much loved wedding dress," she wrote in a public Facebook post, "It was made by my Great Great Granny in 1870 (I altered the top) and I wore it in June 2016."
"Kleen Cleaners in Edinburgh used to be the best but recently fell into crooked hands and have gone into liquidation," she said, "It seems that the dress was taken to be sold so it could be winging its way anywhere."
Somewhere along the post's 301,000 shares, the landlord of the shop's property saw Newall's plea and searched through the old space.
It was during this search he came across a “crumpled heap of antique lace on the floor”.
The landlord called Newall's family with the exciting news that the dress had been located, and they were able to retrieve their gorgeous family heirloom.
We love a happy ending. The internet's done it again.
