And with a single plate of cookies, historical eroticism two of the world's biggest pop stars declared peace.
Katy Perry waved the sweetest white flag on Tuesday night when she uploaded an Instagram of a plate of cookies with "Peace At Last" spelled out in red frosting. The countertop kicker? She tagged none other than her ex(?) pop nemesis, Taylor Swift.

In addition to the tag, she also wrote "feels good 🧡 " in the caption. The location? "Let's Be Friends." If clicked, it drops a pin on the map in Monterrey, Mexico. Interesting.
Adding fuel to the fire, as she does, Swift commented 13 pink heart emojis.
Like a suitcase on vacation, there's a lot to unpack here. Before we do, though, let's quickly take a jaunt down memory lane.
The feud between Katy Perry and Taylor Swift dates back to 2014, when an alleged falling out occurred because both pop stars wanted to have the same dancers on tour with them. Swift even told Rolling Stonethat her song "Bad Blood" was about another female pop star, explaining, "She basically tried to sabotage an entire arena tour. She tried to hire a bunch of people out from under me."
A day after the interview was released, Perry posted a cryptic Mean Girls-esque tweet, prompting fans to theorize that it was about Swift. Fast forward to 2017, during Perry's infamously rocky release of her album Witness, she brought up her feud with Swift, saying, "I'm ready to let it go."
A year later, in May of 2018, Perry sent Swift a literal olive branch on the first night of Swift's Reputation tour. The plant seemed to signify that amends had been made.
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.
Now, in 2019, both singers are getting ready to release new albums, so the timing of their plated partnership is raising a lot of questions.
Perhaps the biggest head scratcher here is whether or not this plate of baked goods means that the two have been in the studio together. Personally, I'd like to believe that, yes, they have. And yes, if they recorded something, it's going to be the bop of the century.
Swift is known to be an avid baker, so it's likely that she provided the feud-ending dough and beef-is-over oven.
This is a tricky one, because I'm almost positive marble countertops are a standard in pop star homes. However, a quick zoom will show a marble lazy Susan, covered with polaroids. Given Swift's obsession with polaroids, it's more likely that she is the owner of a marble lazy susan piled with polaroids. But that's just a marble inkling I have. A rare glimpse into Swift's Beverly Hills home during her 73 Questions interview with Voguereveals some very similar marble counters in the singer's kitchen. Just saying.
My gut says Toll House.
If it is, it's working. Again, both arecoming out with new music, so it wouldn't be surprising if this is their way of getting everyone hungry for a duet.
Honestly, probably! Swift has been known for keeping a very, very, verylow profile recently, so it's easy to see her sneaking off to Perry's house, perhaps in a suitcase.
I had to ask.
Orlando? Joe? The Haim sisters? The possibilities are literally ENDLESS.
While I'm pretty positive that this is just a case of using a random location tag for the name of it, we can't ignore it. Though, on second thought, it is Perry's post, not Swift's, so it's probably a meaningless coincidence and not an Easter egg.

Probably.
It's entirely possible.
I hope so!
I'm going to keep the defibrillator close, in case they do end up doing a collab. Because if that happens, my heart will surely stop.
