Paying extra for the same product is Sarah Shevon Archivesnothing new to women. One pharmacy wants to even things out.
On Tuesday, Soho's Thompson Chemists switched up gender-specific prices when they posted a sign in their window offering products tax-free to women while men must pay a 7 percent "man tax." This decision shed light on the "pink tax," the additional amount charged to women for bathroom items, such as tampons.

In an interview with the Daily Dot, pharmacy owner Jolie Alony explained why she chose to increase taxes for male customers.
"We thought it’d be a great idea with all the political things going on—with Clinton being such a woman and the other guy and his womanizing," Alony said.
"We wanted to share that women deserve to get a break, and men deserve to be charged 7 percent more," she added. "Women are spending more in general and we make less, so we deserve to have a break.”
After this past week of campaign news and Sunday's debate, maybe offering tax-free products to women isn't the worst idea.
