The iconic trio of stars from the first Jurassic Park film will all be returning for Jurassic World 3, the director has confirmed.
At a screening in L.A. on Tuesday night, Colin Trevorrow revealed that Jeff Goldblum's Dr. Ian Malcolm, Laura Dern's Dr. Ellie Sattler, and Sam Neill's Dr. Alan Grant will all be part of the next film in the franchise, bringing Dern out to share the news.

"I love dinosaurs, I love that you love them like we do," beamed Dern (instantly rivaling "I will not not be rich" for my favorite thing she's ever said) and then telling the audience that Goldblum and Neill would return, triggering a chorus of slightly unhinged fan screeches they can probably re-use as sound effects on the movie.
All three have already appeared in at least one of the sequels — Goldblum in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdomand Dern and Neill in Jurassic Park 3 (still with me here?) — but this will be the first time they've reunited.
Earlier this month, Trevorrow released a short film set a year after the events of Fallen Kingdomshowed a world where humans and free-roaming dinosaurs need to (sigh) find a way to coexist.
Trevorrow didn't offer much in the way of plot details for the third film, but did promise that the trio's roles would be "major" and "not a cameo." Presumably, the current trilogy's leads Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard will need to get the band back together to deal with the dinosaurs roaming the continental U.S. as they please.
However Trevorrow did it, it's a surefire way to get old-school fans back on board the bloated franchise. Clever boy.
