Whether you're more into contemporary supergroups like Radiohead or Short film Archivesretro-indie darlings like Kate Bush, this year's well-rounded list of nominees for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame should have you dancing for joy.
On Thursday, the music organization announced the 19 artists nominated to join the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame next year.

Geils Band, Judas Priest, LL Cool J, MC5, The Meters, Moody Blues, Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, Rufus featuring Chaka Khan, Nina Simone, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Link Wray, and The Zombies.
To be eligible for nomination and induction, the artist or group "must have released its first commercial recording at least 25 years prior to the year of induction" - in this case, before 1992.
According to the Hall of Fame, 900 music industry members around the world will vote on the nominees. Fans also have the chance to weigh in here before the organization announces the official list of inductees in December.
Joan Baez, Electric Light Orchestra, Journey, Pearl Jam, Tupac Shakur, and Yes were inducted in the 2017 ceremony. And while Tupac's hologram didn't show up for last year's induction, no word yet on whether any extracorporeal guests will be in attendance for the 2018 ceremony. Fingers crossed.
