Christopher Krebs will have why sex videothe last laugh.
Donald Trump fired the (now former) director of the Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency late Tuesday, after the latter countered the president's lies about the security of the U.S. election. Shortly after Trump announced his canning of Krebs via (what else) a tweet, Krebs used his personal, verified Twitter account to let both the world and Trump know that the agency he previously led did, in fact, oversee a secure election.
"Honored to serve," he wrote. "We did it right. Defend Today, Secure Tomrorow [sic]."

This not-so-thinly veiled jab at Trump, who has repeatedly asserted, baselessly, that there was widespread voter fraud in the 2020 election, follows Krebs' insistence earlier in the day that the vote was not in fact rife with fraud.
"On allegations that election systems were manipulated, 59 election security experts all agree, 'in every case of which we are aware, these claims either have been unsubstantiated or are technically incoherent,'" wrote Krebs from his then-official Twitter account.

Donald Trump may not like it when you counter his lies with facts, and if you're unlucky enough to serve at his pleasure then he can fire you for speaking the truth. That doesn't change the fact, however, that experts declared the 2020 U.S. election "the most secure in American history" — and that Trump lost.
Krebs may be out of a job as of Tuesday, but come January he'll surely be back on his feet. Trump, on the other hand, will be out on the street.
