The No. 7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the No. 2Georgia Bulldogs will face off in the second round of the College Football Playoffs (CFP). The Allstate Sugar Bowl matchup has been postponed after a deadly attack in New Orleans.
The game will take place at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana on Thursday, Jan. 2 now, and is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT.
Notre Dame is 12-1 overall and coming off an affirming 27-17 win over the Indiana Hoosiers in the first round. Georgia is 11-2 overall and earning the No. 2-seed after a second win over the Texas Longhorns in the same season, this time in the SEC championship.
The Notre Dame vs. Georgia football game is scheduled for a 4 p.m. ET/1 p.m. PT start on ESPN on Thursday, Jan. 2.
